I write and edit for a living and can tell you this is not bad. He'll have a hard time finding a place to sell it, but it is not bad.
Keep it up.
But yeah, aim for shorter next time.

If you are a victim reading this, perhaps next time you should be more careful. I find your definition of glory to be much like your writing skills, severely lacking.
